Before any more time slips away.... I wanted to get some recommendations out as to good Seasonal Christmas and Hanukah music! You could buy any of these kids-music CDs or the Celtic CDs and be happy with background tunes for the holidays.
Peter Alsop, Chris Moose Holidays

Great kids' tunes with a MESSAGE about remembering the true spirit of the season. Lots of commentary on being respectful and downplaying the crass commercialization of the holidays. Includes the famous "When Jesus Was A Kid."
Christine Lavin, The Runaway Christmas Tree
www.appleseedrec.com/christinelavin/
Musically witty, includes the non-holiday but very good "Tacobel Canon."
Mama Doni, Chaunkah Fever
www.mamadoni.com/
AMAZINGLY good and funny and rocking kids' music, heavily steeped in Jewish culture. Mama Doni also plays non-Chanukah music. HIGHLY recommended.
Boys Of The Lough, Midwinter Night's Dream
www.boysofthelough.com/
Great, great Christmas CD of tunes that are not your normal Christmas Carols. Includes the wonderful "Wexford Carol."
Celtic Nots, Deep Midwinter

Okay, it's my band, but it's high-quality Celtic Christmas music, with some very unusual takes on standard tunes. Featuring several local musicians.
John Fahey, Christmas Album
www.amazon.com/John-Fahey-Christmas-Album/dp/B000003BLY
Terrific fingerstyle guitar Christmas tunes. No vocals, no fancy tapping technique, just solidly played arrangements.
Bonnie Rideout, A Scottish Christmas
www.bonnierideout.com/welcome.htm
A great collection of Scottish based traditional tunes.
Trout Fishing In America, Merry Fishes, Trout Music 2004
www.troutmusic.com/
Very fun Christmas tunes by solid musicians
Wee Hairy Beasties, Holidays Gone Crazy, 2008 Wee Beatz

Very inventive and musical kids' group.
